Born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, my love for graphic design began at an early age when my older sister brought home her first art kit from design school. Seventeen years and a bachelors degree later, my love for design hasn't faltered.
I began my design career at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where I received a strong foundation in design, typography, and conceptual thinking. During my time as a student at Kutztown University I pursued internships and jobs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and even moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to work as an Assistant Web Designer at the television network HGTV- where I gained valuable experience and the expertise to work and function within a large corporate environment. While interning at Bowhaus Design Groupe in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania I gained the capability to work in a close knit, team oriented environment- a skill I value everyday. As a student at Kutztown University I also began my career with AIGA, where I served as a Chapter President for two and a half years. To this day I am still involved in AIGA, serving on the board of the Knoxville, TN chapter. My hard work at Kutztown University was rewarded with the Karen L. Anderson Memorial Award for Most Outstanding Graduate in Graphic Design and a nomination for Most Outstanding Graduate in Interactive Design.
Since graduating from Kutztown University I've gained experience in logo design, packaging, art direction, website design and programming, and client management. I've worked with non-profits, large corporations, restaurants, and retail entrepreneurs and have worked both as an in-house corporate designer and a designer in a small studio. My work has been featured in books such as Rockport Publishers, Inc.'s "1000 Restaurant Graphics" book series and my websites have been featured on various website design showcases. I'm currently seeking a position that will allow me to utilize my creativity and strong conceptual skills to grow and thrive as a designer. Want to know more about me? Download my resume»
